As some of you may know, I had another blog on Blogger. Moving over to WordPress was a little tedious (mainly because I’m not very technologically savvy when it comes to HTML codes and hosting sites), but I’m glad it’s almost complete. I am very happy with the results from the support of the WordPress team.

One thing that is intimidating about starting a new blog is all of the customizations and changes that you have to make since you’re basically starting from scratch. However, a great thing about WordPress is that you can transfer the contents of your old blog over to your new one!

It was extremely easy, all I had to do was go to the “export” link under “tools” and follow the directions to download my blogger account to my computer. Then, I simply had to upload the downloaded file to WordPress and BAM! All my posts were on my WordPress account.

As a Mompreneur and a business professional, it was extremely important for me not to lose my previous work. However, the theme and layout didn’t come with it. All that came was was the posts, tags, and categories…which is the most important part of the blog because without the posts, you wouldn’t have a blog!

Creating a new blog was also exciting because I got to customize everything to my liking.

Also, making a new blog allowed to me avoid mistakes that I made with my previous one. This time, I’m more knowledgable on what to do and what not to do with blogging.

This whole experience has been fun so far!
